Songs

Discover cruise-inspired songs, lyrics, and playlists from TSJ CruiseBlog voyages, with destination-based tracks presented in English.

Welcome to the musical side of TSJ CruiseBlog!

Music and travel share the same magic: both take you on a journey. On TSJ Cruise Blog I usually write about destinations, ships, and the unique experiences of cruising. But during my voyages, I discovered another way to capture those moments – through music.

That’s how my Songs from the Sea project was born. With the support of AI, I created original songs inspired by the ports of call. Each track is more than just a melody – it’s a snapshot of a destination, a rhythm shaped by local culture, and a memory set to music.

How it Works

Every cruise I take is transformed into a musical diary.

  • One port – one song: Each stop along the itinerary gets its own piece of music.
  • Local flavor: Each song captures the atmosphere and identity of its destination through an English narrative style.
  • Lyrics: The full lyrics are shared in English for consistent readability.
  • Listen online: All songs are available through Spotify embeds and playlists, so you can follow the journey port by port.

Why Songs?

Cruise memories can fade over time – but music brings them back instantly. A song written for Casablanca, for example, carries the energy of North Africa. A melody for Bruges echoes its medieval charm. These songs are not meant to be chart hits, but personal souvenirs in sound – a creative way to relive the atmosphere of each harbor city.

For readers and listeners, it’s a chance to travel along: you can explore the lyrics, discover translations, and enjoy a playlist that mirrors the cruise route.

Skylines of the North Sea (MSC Poesia, January 2026): A musical travel project from the Metropolis Tour 2026, tracing a full loop from Hamburg through major Northern and Western European ports across the North Sea and English Channel.

Cruise of Voices (MSC Euribia, January 2024): A Winter Cruise 2024 voyage through Northern Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, Morocco, Madeira, and the Canary Islands – with 14 ports, each inspiring its own song.
