Cruise of Voices is a special music project created during the MSC Euribia’s Winter Cruise 2024. Over two weeks, the ship sailed from Hamburg through Northern Europe, down the Iberian Peninsula, across to the Canary Islands, and back to Germany.
Each port of call inspired its own song – a musical snapshot of the city’s atmosphere. From the medieval charm of Bruges to the vibrant streets of Casablanca, every track reflects the unique character of the destination through English lyrics and storytelling.
Cruise of Voices is more than an album – it’s a travel diary set to music. Each song captures a port as it was experienced on this winter voyage, turning destinations into melodies and memories.

01 – Anchors Up in Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany)
Along the Elbe the seagulls cry,
Beneath the cranes the ships stand high.
The harbor calls with a voice so clear,
Adventure waits, the time is here.
From Speicherstadt to the Reeperbahn,
The city wakes with the break of dawn.
With open skies and the ocean near,
We set our course, we lose our fear.
Anchors up, the tide runs strong,
A journey begins, a brand-new song.
From Hamburg’s heart to seas unknown,
The world awaits, the sails have grown.
02 – Magic in Bruges (Bruges, Belgium)
Venice of the North, with a timeless face,
Cobblestones whisper through history’s grace.
The Belfry stands proud, reaching high to the sky,
Where the echoes of centuries never die.
We walked by the towers, the churches, the square,
Hot chocolate warming the cold winter air.
With waffles and laughter, the day carried on,
In Bruges every shadow sings like a song.
A pipeline of beer, tradition and new,
Innovation flowing where the old dreams grew.
Through markets and museums, we found our way,
And Bruges cast a spell we’ll remember each day.
03 – Skyline of Rotterdam (Rotterdam, Netherlands)
Reborn from the ashes, a city of steel,
Where history is heavy, but the future feels real.
From the Markthal’s colors to the Cube House line,
A spirit of boldness through space and time.
Trams through the morning, the markets alive,
Licorice sweetness where the cultures collide.
The Laurenskerk standing with stories untold,
A city of courage, both daring and bold.
Through cold winter winds, your energy shines,
A harbor of progress, where vision aligns.
From war’s devastation to towers that rise,
Rotterdam glows with unbroken skies.
04 – Concrete and Light (Le Havre, France)
By the northern coast where the waters meet,
A city rebuilt with a steady beat.
From the scars of war rose a vision new,
Modern lines with a peaceful view.
Le Volcan stands, a flame in stone,
The Bassin reflects what the city has grown.
St. Joseph’s tower, rising so high,
Colored glass shining against the sky.
Geometry and gardens, wide open space,
Resilience and beauty in every place.
From ruins to wonder, from silence to song,
Le Havre reminds us we can be strong.
05 – Pilgrim’s Heart (Santiago de Compostela, Spain)
Through Galician fields, the journey was long,
A road of devotion where faith grows strong.
The square revealed a cathedral’s face,
Stone carved with centuries, sacred grace.
We walked old streets where the stories remain,
Shops and cafés in the morning rain.
With churros sweet and the laughter near,
The spirit of pilgrims was always here.
In chapels of silence, in shadows of stone,
The voice of Saint James whispers never alone.
A city of blessings, of history deep,
Where memories linger and hearts still weep.
06 – Streets of Cádiz (Cádiz, Spain)
By the harbor’s light, the morning began,
A city of ages where time gently ran.
Through cobbled streets where the stories stay,
History whispers in the sun’s warm ray.
The cathedral rose with its chapels grand,
Dark wood carvings by a master’s hand.
Silent devotion in the sacred air,
A moment of peace, of beauty rare.
On the open bus, the skyline wide,
Golden horizons where the sea meets the tide.
A city eternal, with stories untold,
In Cádiz the present embraces the old.
07 – Echoes of Rabat (Rabat, Morocco)
Through Casablanca’s dawn we rode,
Past crowded streets where the city flowed.
To Rabat’s gates, so wide, so green,
A capital calm, yet proud, serene.
The Royal Palace, guarded with pride,
Where history’s echoes still reside.
At the Mausoleum’s marble hall,
We felt the silence, majestic, tall.
From Kasbah walls to the ocean’s shore,
Tradition meets tomorrow’s door.
With every stone, with every song,
Rabat has stood so proud, so strong.
08 – Riding Down to Funchal (Funchal, Portugal)
Through winding streets the taxi climbed,
Where ocean meets the mountainside.
A hero’s face in the CR7 hall,
But the hills of Madeira outshined it all.
On wicker sleds we flew downhill,
Guided by hands with strength and skill.
Laughter echoed through every turn,
A ride of fire, a thrill to burn.
The cathedral stood with ceilings high,
Silent prayers beneath the sky.
Shops and streets in the evening rain,
But the spirit of Funchal will remain.
09 – Golden Shores of Las Palmas (Las Palmas, Spain)
Two great ships at the harbor side,
Crowds of thousands, an endless tide.
We turned instead to streets so free,
Where markets hum with melody.
Through golden sands and ocean breeze,
The city whispered with gentle ease.
A science hall with rockets high,
Dreams of the future beneath the sky.
From shopping lights to the ocean wide,
From island calm to the urban stride.
Las Palmas glows with a timeless song,
A place where every soul belongs.
10 – Dancing in Arrecife (Arrecife de Lanzarote, Spain)
Through narrow streets with the sunlight bright,
A peaceful lagoon, a golden light.
With drinks in hand and the breeze so free,
The island sang its song to me.
Bananas sweet from the market stall,
A taste of the land, we enjoyed it all.
The church stood proud with its golden shine,
A sacred space both grand and divine.
The fortress watched by the ocean blue,
Stories of sailors and dreams that grew.
A city of laughter, of charm and cheer,
Arrecife stays with me, crystal clear.
11 – Streets of Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain)
From port to square, the journey was sweet,
Art on the corners, life on the street.
Balconies carved with stories untold,
Wooden beauty shining bold.
Shops with colors, an ice cream smile,
The island breeze made it all worthwhile.
Every step a song, every glance a scene,
Santa Cruz feels like a dream.
In gardens tropical, in laughter’s sound,
A city of treasures all around.
Relaxed and free, with skies so blue,
Santa Cruz, my heart’s with you.
12 – Lights of Lisbon (Lisbon, Portugal)
Fog in the morning, the river was gray,
But sunlight broke and lit the day.
Through winding streets and stories untold,
Lisbon revealed its heart of gold.
In Belém we stood by the waterside,
Where sailors dreamed and the world grew wide.
The monastery’s stones, the tower so tall,
Echoed the voices that once heard the call.
From Augusta’s arch to the streets so near,
The music of Lisbon was all we could hear.
Cobblestones shining, a city alive,
Lisbon reminds us how dreams survive.
13 – Sailing from Southampton (Southampton, United Kingdom)
Southampton, where the ships set sail,
Your stories whisper through the sun and gale.
Southampton, I will carry you near,
A port of memories I’ll hold so dear.
The morning broke with skies so clear,
A gift of sunshine, rare and dear.
The SeaCity walls told tales of the sea,
Of lives once lost, of history.
Southampton, where the ships set sail,
Your stories whisper through the sun and gale.
Southampton, I will carry you near,
A port of memories I’ll hold so dear.
Through Tudor gardens, the old stones stand,
Medieval echoes across the land.
We walked the past, yet felt today,
Where time and tide still find their way.
From city walls to the ocean’s song,
A final stop where hearts belong.
The journey ends, but I know it’s true,
Southampton, I’ll remember you.
Southampton, where the ships set sail,
Your stories whisper through the sun and gale.
Southampton, I will carry you near,
A port of memories I’ll hold so dear.
Southampton, where the ships set sail,
Your stories whisper through the sun and gale.
Southampton, I will carry you near,
A port of memories I’ll hold so dear.
14 – Back to Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany)
Through endless waves and distant lands,
With memories carved by time’s own hands.
The journey ends where it once began,
In Hamburg’s arms I’m home again.
From northern winds to southern skies,
Each port a chapter, a sweet surprise.
But now the anchors fall once more,
To Hamburg’s heart, the steadfast shore.
The ships may sail, the days may pass,
But Hamburg’s spirit will always last.
A final song, a gentle flame,
And every journey calls your name.
